A telephone conversation was held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jayhun Bayramov with a special representative of the European Union in the South Caucasus Toyvo Clare.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, the parties exchanged views regarding the implementation of tripartite statements and the current situation in the region. The Special Representative of the EU has expressed concern about tensions on the border of two states.
C.Barabaov said that in recent days from Armenia, provocations were committed in border areas, as a result of which one Azerbaijani soldier died on July 23, and on July 28, two of our servicemen were injured. It was brought to the attention of the opposite side that the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan carry out responses to these military provocations and ensure the protection of international borders of Azerbaijan.
was emphasized that Armenia should put an end to such irresponsible behavior and comply with the obligations.
