What did Kamran Aliyev discuss in Tehran?

As previously reported, at the invitation of the Prosecutor General Iran Mohammed Dzhafar Montazeri, a working visit began to Tehran of the delegation, headed by Azerbaijan Prosecutor Kamran Aliyev.

First, a bilateral meeting was held in the Prosecutor General of Iran. Welcoming the Azerbaijani colleague, Mohammed Jafar Montazeri noted a high level of cooperation between the prosecution authorities of the two countries. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the meeting in such a wide format between the General Prosecutor’s Office of the two countries took place for the first time.

The meeting took place of an exchange of opinions on cooperation in the legal sphere, emphasized the importance of bilateral interaction, discussed issues of protecting the rights of citizens of both countries. Border, customs, environmental and humanitarian issues, as well as issues of drug trafficking, legal assistance in criminal cases, extradition and issuance of convicts were discussed. The confidence that the interaction between the bodies of the prosecutor’s office of the two countries will continue to continue.

Kamran Aliyev invited Mohammed Jafar Montazeri to visit Azerbaijan with a working visit, as well as sign a memorandum of cooperation between the structures of the two countries.

Then the Prosecutor General met with the Minister of Justice Iran Amin Huseyn Ragimi. The minister congratulated Azerbaijan on a brilliant victory in a 44-day Patriotic War. Speaking gratitude for the congratulations, Kamran Aliyev emphasized the high level of cooperation between the bodies of the prosecutor’s office, justice and judicial power of our countries.
