On August 2, an open film screen dedicated to the 124th anniversary of the creation of Azerbaijani cinema and the National Cinema Day of Azerbaijan took place on the site before the center of Heydar Aliyev. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Center.
The director of the State Film Fund, Honored Worker of Azerbaijan, Jamil Guliev, spoke about the history of Azerbaijani cinema, in particular, about the development of domestic cinema since the independence of our country. “Our films become laureates of many international festivals, today there are talented young directors who implement successful projects,” said Jamil Guliev.
Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Anar Kerimov noted that the movie plays an exceptional role in the development of society. “If we look at the history of our domestic cinema, we will see that the past 124 was not in vain. At the exhibition organized here on the site, you can clearly see rich traditions and progressive achievements of Azerbaijani cinema.
