Ukrainian fighters for the “closing of the sky” need anti -aircraft missile systems of medium and large radius of action and fighters. About this, the commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Nikolai Oleshchuk said in a video message posted on Facebook.
He noted that Ukraine is grateful to the whole world for humanitarian, political and financial support, sanctions pressure on the terrorist state, military-technical assistance-weapons that already destroys the equipment of the Russian Federation.
“We beat, beat, and we will beat the enemy with the technique that we have in service. But in order for the air forces to independently closed the sky over Ukraine, the STINGER and Starstreak Mod. Small radius of action, primarily intended to destroy low -frequency goals – such as helicopters, ”Oleshchuk emphasized.
He noted that it is impossible to shoot down bombs on Ukrainian cities with 8 or more kilometers.

“We need modern anti -aircraft missile systems of medium and large radius of action for an effective anti -aircraft missile covering of airspace. As well as modern fighters for the fighter cover of the sky in the system of air defense of the state,” Oleshchuk emphasized.
At the same time, he added that Ukraine would also really like to receive on any conditions a technological and effective military equipment of Western production.
