Messenger WhatsApp belonging to Facebook, begins to gradually limit some functions, including calls and messages, to those users who have not received an updated user agreement, writes RIA Novosti.
WhatsApp in January updated the user agreement by adding the Personal Data Personal Data on Facebook to it. The text of the agreement states that whatsapp as part of Facebook Corporation will share with all its “family family” by the necessary information about the user for analyzing its habits and tastes.
It caused a wide resonance from WhatsApp users and their sufficient mass transition to other messengers, after which the company had introduced the introduction of a new agreement from February 8 to May 15, so that users were able to familiarize themselves with updates in the “convenient pace for them.”
According to the information on the company’s website posted on May 11, within a few weeks, the reminder of the update will become unknown, and “starting from this time the WhatsApp functionality will be limited until you decide the update.” Dates will vary from different users.
The user who received a non-refined reminder and did not agree to a new agreement, will lose access to the list of chats, but it will still have the opportunity to answer calls, and if notifications are enabled – the messages. You can also call back when the call is missed.
Then, in a few weeks of limited functionality, users will no longer be able to receive incoming calls and notifications, and WhatsApp will stop sending messages and calls. The history of chats can be exported, as well as download an account report, while if the Agreement update does not accept, the account will not be removed.
