Wheat crop in Ukraine in 2022 is expected at 16.5 million tons, which is half as much as predicted before the war. The decrease is primarily associated with the partial occupation of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions, where wheat, barley and sunflower are most grown.
This is reported by Agroportal. It is noted: Another reason for this is “non -compliance with agrarians of agronomic measures”.
, however, many manufacturers continue to hold the grain, while collecting a new crop. Therefore, the proposal of wheat in Ukraine remains very large, ”the statement said.
At the same time, it is emphasized, according to the analyst of the consulting and analytical company Barva Invest Pavel Haustov, in 2021 Ukraine has collected a record wheat harvest – which required a high rate of exports at the level of 23 million tons. It was possible to take out only 18.5 million tons.
