As a result of a collapse at a mine in the province of Songuldak, one worker died in the north of Turkey, three more victims were saved, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey said.
The incident took place in the ERELIL area at the company Taşkömürürürürumu (TTK) Armutçuk müessesi.
Emergency and doctors arrived at the scene. Four miners were under the rubble.
The Governor of the region Osman Hadjibektashoglu arrived at the place of the tragedy.
According to him, at the time of the collapse at the mine, 280 people worked.
“The collapse occurred in the area where 4 people worked. There are no more risks. In addition, we are not talking about the explosion, this is a collapse. At the moment, there is no situation that would jeopardize the entire mine,” the governor said.
