As a result of an armed attack on a helicopter in Colombia, four military were killed.
According to local media, the incident occurred in rural areas near the municipality of Kasseres in the Antiokia Department. Unknown persons opened fire on a helicopter that landed in this area.
According to the army, the attackers fired at the military who descended from the helicopter with the help of ropes. Additional units were sent to the area of the incident.
The responsibility for the attack is assigned to the criminal group Clan del Golfo, consisting of former members of paramilitarian formations and the occupied drug trafficking.
According to the local press, the number of militants Clan del Golfo varies from 6 to 9 thousand people.
Recall that the former leader of this group, Dairo Antonio Usuga David, known under the nickname Otonel, was detained on October 23, 2021 during the Osiris operation. The operation with the participation of 650 police and the military, as well as 22 helicopters, was held in the municipality of some in the north-west of the country.
After the detention of Otonel, Dikhin was transported from prison to Bogota to the federal prison of Brooklyn, New York. Its extradition took place on board the aircraft with N110CP number that flew from the Katami military airport.
