As a result of the shelling of the children’s rehabilitation center in the Sumy region of Ukraine, 18 people were injured, the press service of the prosecutor’s office said.
“The Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office conducts an investigation on the fact of the missile shelling of the Russian Federation of the Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Sumy, as a result of which 18 people were injured,” the report said.
According to the investigation, on September 1 at about 20:50, a missile strike at a residential quarter in Sumy.
It is noted that the lesion fell into an orphanage, which is surrounded by high -rise buildings.
by that time there were no children in the institution, the prosecutor’s office noted.
“However, 18 residents of the surrounding houses were injured, including three boys, who are 7, 9 and 13 years old, three girls who are 7, 15 and 17 years old, nine women and three men,” the report said.
It is noted that 6 multi-storey buildings and the Sumy Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children of the region are damaged.
