White -headed Eagle Has Officially Become US National Bird

US President Joe Biden signed a law that provides for the official recognition of the “white -headed eagle” of the country’s national bird.

According to the Axios news site, a white -headed eagle, which is a symbol of the United States for more than 240 years, has officially become the country’s national bird. The corresponding document was signed by Joe Biden.

The symbol of the white -headed eagle began to be used in the official documents of the United States since 1782. The image of a white -headed eagle can be seen on many American documents, including on the coat of arms, presidential standard, banknotes and other state attributes.

It is noted that Biden, whose authority is drawing to a close, signed a total of 50 bills.

The white -headed eagle, which lives in North America and is one of the largest predatory birds of the continent, has never been officially declared the country’s national bird, despite its mention in official documents.
