White House: “Ball On Side Of China” On Issue Of Trading Transaction With United States

White House spokeswoman Karolin Livitt said that President Donald Trump is open to the customs and trade agreement with China.

At a briefing for the press, Livitt made new statements regarding tension in customs tariffs between the United States and China.

“The ball is now on the side of China. China needs to conclude an agreement with us, we are not obliged to conclude an agreement with them,” Livitt emphasized.

A stating that China is no different from other countries, with the exception of its size, Lithuvt said: “China wants what we have, an American consumer; in other words, they need our money. President Trump said that he was open to an agreement with China, but China needs to conclude an agreement with the United States.”

Talking about the ongoing negotiations on customs and trade agreements with many countries that did not make response against the United States, the spokesman said: “In the near future we will announce our customs tariffs with some countries.”

Answering the question about reports of the possible introduction of tax benefits for the export of some auto parts, Litvt noted that Trump is flexible in these customs negotiations and is ready to conclude agreements with any country, provided they are justice.

Trading confrontation between the United States and China

China became the first country to react to raising US tariffs, and took mirror measures. As a result of the tariff confrontation between the two US countries, they increased duties for Chinese goods to 145%, and China on American up to 125%.

The Washington administration postponed the introduction of return tariffs against other countries for 90 days, while tariffs against China entered into force.

Later Trump said that some technological products, such as smartphones, laptops, hard drives, computer processors and chips, will be exempted from additional duties.
