WHO declared control over Coronavirus in Africa

“African countries go to the control phase of the coronavirus pandemic, the sharp phase of which is passed.” This was stated by the head of the African Representative Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) Matshido Moethy.

According to her, although in the long run, COVID-19 will be accompanied by the continent, but the light has already appeared at the end of the tunnel.

“This year we can put an end to the acute phase of the pandemic and return control over the situation. Africa moves from the coronavirus pandemic to the situation when the presence of the coronavirus will be managed by the means,” said Miotic.

She also noted that Africa had already experienced the peak of the storm, although it cost the continent very expensive – 242 thousand lives were taken and caused great damage to the economy.
