In the last days of 2022, the head of the organization “Idealistic foci” (“Gray Wolves”) Professor Sinan Ates was shot in the capital of Turkey Ankara. This was reported by the newspaper Sözçü.
According to the report, at the athesh and his comrade Selman Bozkurt, people who were waiting on the street on motorcycles shot from the house. Some media reported that Atesh attacked when he left the mosque after Friday prayer.
“Sinan Atesh was wounded in the head, and Selman Bozkurt – on the shoulder,” the newspaper noted.
Atesh was hospitalized in a private hospital, there he died. The attackers disappeared. According to Habertürk, five people were detained. It is noted that the traces of the murder lead to Istanbul. The Yeni Shafak newspaper close to the government reported that one of the suspects had given a confession. According to him, they allegedly “did it because of money.”
Sinana Atesh buried in Bursa, thousands of people took part in the mourning ceremony.
