WHO: number of confirmed cases of monkeys is growing

The World Health Organization (WHO) received information about 92 confirmed cases of people’s Ospois Oxpia, reports the official website of the organization.

Information is obtained from 12 endemic countries located in three WHO regions. 92 cases are confirmed laboratory, with respect to 28, a study is conducted.

In the WHO they called the “highly unusual event” to identify the disease in people who did not attend endemic countries. According to the received information, they became infected with close physical contact. Cases of the disease were identified mainly among men after sex with men.

Studies of the biological sample from Portugal indicate that the infection was brought from Nigeria to the UK, Israel and Singapore in 2018 and 2019.
