In Baku, snow in the New Year’s evening falls rarely. Over the past 20 years, this event was fixed only four times: in 2007, 2009, 2012, 2016. The coldest weather in Baku on New Year’s Eve was recorded in 2009. On that day, a 2-degree frost was observed and 14 centimeters of snow cover were formed. As AzerTaj reports, the head of the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Umair Tagiyev reported.
According to U. Tagiyeva, in the New Year evening this year the snow in Baku is not expected: “On the night of December 31, there will be stable weather conditions. It will blow a south-west wind, whose speed will increase at noon. Air temperature will be 7-10 degrees of heat. “
