German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is ready to allow Kyiv to Kiev of the Leopard-2 combat tanks, provided that the United States, for its part, will provide Ukraine with Abrams tanks.

According to the publication, Scholz set such a condition during a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden during Tuesday.
The Chancellor has repeatedly stated that in the issue of military support of Ukraine Germany will not take one -sided steps. As the newspaper noted, Biden did not give firm consent to Abrams in a conversation with Sholts. Washington, obviously, is ensuring that Berlin not only allow other NATO countries to re -export Leopard on Ukraine, but also put her tanks from his own reserves, writes Süddeutsche Zeitung. The supply of Leopard cannot be carried out without the permission of Germany that produces these tanks.
