21-year-old athlete talked with an anadol correspondent before the start of the stage on the route of Fethi-Marmaris.
“It is great to win my first professional victory. In the last few weeks, I felt that I was close to victory. It was great to win here in Turkey. There were definitely strong sprinters and I did not feel too confident before the sprint. So, it was really very good to win,” the athlete said.
Dutchman noted that today’s race is more technical.
today there will be a little more technicality, and I like it. Yesterday I was not very fun. Until now, the weather was very good. Yesterday it was pretty hot. I think that a few more people felt the heat. Yes, in the coming days, it may be raining. I heard that it is quite slippery when it was raining, but everything is fine, ”the athlete said.
del Grosso also expressed admiration for the interest of cycling from the Turkish people.
“I see a lot of people on the sidelines of roads, all the children come out. In addition, I really love the Turkish sweetness of a baklava,” he added.
