With riots in women’s prison in Honduras, over 40 people died

The local edition of La Prensa reports that the conflict broke out in the penitentiary institution of the city of Tamara, not far from Tegusigalpa, the capital of Honduras.

According to the newspaper, 25 women were burned, another 16 died as a result of the use of weapons.

In connection with the incident, law enforcement officers tightened security measures in the prison area.
