The World Bank said that he stopped all his programs in Russia and Belarus in the light of events in Ukraine. This is stated in the statement of the Financial Institute, RIA Novosti reports.
It is noted that the World Bank Group has not approved any new loans or investments in Russia since 2014.
“Also since the mid-2020, new loans were not approved for Belarus. With the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and hostile actions against the Ukrainian people, the World Bank Group immediately stopped all its programs in Russia and Belarus,” the statement said.
