“The World Bank is ready to provide Ukraine with immediate financial support in the context of the special operation of Russia and workers the options for such assistance.” This was stated by the head of the organization David Melpass, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, the World Bank intends to use all financing and technical support tools for operational response to the current situation.
Melpass also predicted that the current destructive events in Ukraine would have far-reaching economic and social consequences.
“We are closely coordinating our actions with the IMF to evaluate them,” said the head of the World Bank.
