World Bank presented its proposals for development of digital health in Azerbaijan

In the framework of cooperation between the Azerbaijani government and the World Bank Group (WB), a meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with a delegation headed by the head of the Practice Program of Human Development Program in the South Caucasus Akhmet Levant Yenerem.

Having greeted guests, Health Minister Teymur Musaev noted that the improvement of the health care system is a priority issue for our country. According to him, cooperation with the World Bank in various fields is of particular importance from the point of view of the application of advanced international experience. Given this, the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan is interested in expanding cooperation with the World Bank in this area.

The representatives of the World Bank submitted their proposals for the development of digital health in our country in the framework of the project “Evaluation of the Azerbaijani Digital Health Ecosystem: Development of a National Health Information Strategy for 2022-2026.”

During the meeting, held in a friendly and business atmosphere, the parties also discussed issues on the implementation of a project for technical assistance in developing electronic health strategy in Azerbaijan.
