World Cup in Baku: Who will take medals in all-around?

On the national gymnastic arena in Baku continues the World Gymnastics World Cup with the participation of 126 gymnars from 31 countries.

Today in the individual athletes competitions protrude with bulbs and ribbon, and group teams will demonstrate exercises with three ribbons and two balls.

Azerbaijan at the World Cup represent Arza Jalilov and Zohra Agamirov, as well as a group team as part of Gully Agalarzade, Láman Alimuradova, Camillas Aliyeva, Zeynab Gumbaova, Elizabeth Luzan and Darya Sorokina. Yesterday, Arzu Jalilova made his way to the finals with the hoop and the ball, Zohra Agamirov entered the final with the hoop, and the group team was in the final with five hoops.

In the all-around after the first day of the competition, our group occupies 2nd place, Arza Jalilova – 3rd, and Zohra Agamirova – 5th.

Today Arza and Zohra will begin a performance after 16:00, group – after 17:30.

According to the results of today’s competitions, winners are defined in all-around and finalists in individual exercises. On April 24, finals will be held, where six awards sets will be played.

In connection with the mitigation of quarantine measures, viewers can observe competitions from the Tribune of the National Gymnastic Arena. Tickets are from 10 to 15 manat. They can be purchased both online and in the office of the city. Persons over 18 years old wishing to visit the arena, you should have a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19, or a document on recovery and the present of immunity, or certificate of contraindications for vaccination.

This is the fifth international competition that takes place on the national gymnastic arena this year. Baku in the 9th time takes the World Cup in rhythmic gymnastics. Azerbaijan also conducted the World Championships in this gymnastic discipline twice.
