Today, on the national gymnastic arena in Baku, the 12th World Competitions among the age groups on sports acrobatics started.
In the informal world championship for boys and young people, 466 acrobats of 21 countries are located. Medals will be played in age categories 12-18 and 13-19 years in pair speeches in young men and girls, among mixed couples and in group competitions.
Azerbaijan in age category 12-18 years old Present: Duet Rasul Seidley – Revan Zeynalla, Duet Nazrin Gasimov – Khanum Mamedzade, Milan Aliyev’s mixed pair – Nizam Hamidulin, Women’s group Anaita Bashiri – Zahra Rashidova – Nonprin Zayiniev.
In the age category of 13-19 years, the female group Leila Bashirova will perform – Nazin Farmanova – Mansum Mamedzade. Last year, our trio won bronze at similar competitions in Switzerland, speaking then in the category 12-18 years.
At the moment, representatives of Azerbaijan have already begun performances in competitions of mixed and male couples. A couple of Milan Aliyev – Nizam Hamidulin after tempo exercises with 27 points ranks 4th among 23 pairs. Duet Rasul Seidley – Revan Zeynalla takes the 13th position after the balance exercise.
Note that athletes from Russia are at the World Competitions in Baku. According to the decision of the International Gymnastics Federation, they compete without flag and any Russian symbolism on the form. In the case of their victory, the anthem of Russia will not sound.
Competition will end on March 6. Today and tomorrow qualifying competitions will be held, and on March 5 and 6, both qualifications and finals will be held.
