The world’s largest duty -free shop (Duty Free) will open on October 28 this year in Haikou, China. This was reported by the local newspaper “Hainan Zhibao”.
The store itself with an area of 280 thousand square meters is part of a huge complex. Here, the hotel, office premises and other stores in which general goods will be sold are located here.
Today, more than 800 Chinese and foreign brands are ready to place their products in this duty -free shop, the newspaper writes.
Hainan authorities began a pilot program to create an extended duty -free network in 2011. Currently, there are nine duty-free shops of duty-free trade located in the capital of the province of Khaikou, the resort of Sanya, as well as in the coastal town of Boao of Zyunhai in the northeast of the province
