Zagreb: Kazakh-Croatian Cooperation Was Discussed

Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, was adopted by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrei Filkovich.

According to the press service of the Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry, in continuation of bilateral negotiations between the President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev with the head of the Croatian government, held on the fields of SOR29 in Baku in November of this year, the parties discussed further steps aimed at strengthening political dialogue and expanding business ties between two countries.

In particular, the minister introduced the interlocutor with institutional political and socio-economic reforms in Kazakhstan initiated by the head of state.

It was emphasized that the measures implemented contribute to the creation of conditions favorable for opening and doing business in Kazakhstan.

Nurtleu invited Croatian companies to establish and develop trade and investment partnerships with Kazakhstan, noting such promising areas as energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, information technology, education, tourism.

In this context, the parties expressed a common opinion that the work of the Kazakh-Khorvat Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation and the Knight-Khrvaty Business Council, the following meetings of which are planned in Astana in 2025, should be facilitated by building business ties.

In turn, PELSKOVICH confirmed the mutual desire to strengthen the political dialogue and mutually beneficial partnership between Astana and Zagreb, based on trust and mutual support.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to continue constructive interaction between the two countries, including by organizing and conducting visits at the highest and high levels.

In addition, Nurtleu, as part of an official visit to Croatia, held a meeting with the leaders of leading Croatian companies representing various sectors of the economy.

In particular, representatives of the following companies took part in the event: “Ina” – one of the largest oil enterprises of the Balkan region; “Janaf” – operator of the oil pipeline system “Jadranski Naftovod”; Port Rile, providing a transshipment of various types of cargo; “JGL” – the Yadran -Galen laboratory, which is a manufacturer of a wide line of drugs. Along with this, representatives of the companies that are part of the Croatian Chamber of Economics, which are involved in the sphere of tourism, trade and consulting services, participated in the meeting.
