Kyrgyzstan is aimed at strengthening the role of organizing a collective security agreement (CSTO) in ensuring security and stability in the Central Asian region, at today’s briefing the official representative of the Russian Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova said, answering the journalist’s question about the refusal of Kyrgyzstan from the teachings of the CSTO.
“On October 3-5, successful contacts of the Secretary General of the CSTO Stanislav Zasya, including negotiations with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadir Zadrov, were held in Bishkek, which reports to strengthen the role of CSTO in ensuring security and stability in the Central Asian region,” said Zakharova .
According to her, “Kyrgyzstan is an important partner of Russia in the CIS.”
