“A meeting of the trilateral working group on Karabakh under the co-chairs of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia will take place in the near future, and by the end of this week it is planned to make contacts in Baku along the Foreign Ministry.” This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, reports TASS.
According to her, Russia considers trilateral agreements at the highest level as the basis for the promotion of the process of normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and continues to active work with Baku and Yerevan on all tracks, including unlocking economic and transport relations, launching the process of division of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border , coordination of a peace treaty.
“The issues of unlocking communication were discussed during the meeting of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, who took place on April 26. Also, the Armenian and Azerbaijani parties were assigned to conduct the next meeting of the tripartite working group under the co-chairs of Deputy Prierisers. As for the border issues, before the end of this week, contacts in Baku along the Foreign Ministry are planned, ”said Zakharova, adding that the Russian side notes the readiness of Azerbaijan and Armenia to move towards each other, trilateral contacts on this topic are being worked out at a high level.
