President Vladimir Zelensky said that neither German President Frank-Walter Steinmayer, nor his office officially appealed to Kiev on the visit to Ukraine.
“I as president and our office did not officially receive the appeal of the President of Germany and his office on the visit to Ukraine. We have a free country, and we are ready to be a transit state, if these are economic issues, not political,” said Zelensky At a press conference after meeting with colleagues from the Baltic countries and Poland.
Recall that on the eve of the BILD edition, with reference to the sources, said that President Vladimir Zelensky did not want to meet with Steinmeier in Kyiv because of the close relations of the latter with Russia. Later, Steinmeier stated that he was ready to come to Kyiv along with colleagues from Poland and the Baltic countries, but, according to him, “in Kyiv they did not want.”
