Zelensky And NATO Secretary General Discussed Ukraine’s Entry Into An Alliance

During his visit to the United States, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The Ukrainian leader reported this in his accounts on social networks.

The parties discussed the strengthening of the Ukrainian Air Defense System and the prospects for joining Kyiv to the North Atlantic Alliance.

“We discussed the need to strengthen Ukrainian air defense, to continue work for our state to receive an invitation to NATO as soon as possible, and the importance of the timely implementation of all the agreements of the Washington Alliance summit,” the President of Ukraine said.

Zelensky thanked the NATO Secretary General “For the support of Ukraine and his efforts in the unification of the international community to help Ukraine and strengthen its army.”
