Zelensky: decision to withdraw Armed Forces of Ukraine from Avdeevka is made to avoid loss

The decision to withdraw the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the city of Avdeevka in the east of the country is made to avoid possible human sacrifices, as well as due to a lack of ammunition. This was stated by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky during the entry into the Munich Security Conference.

“Absolutely logical, fair and professional solution (to get out of Avdeevka – Ed.) To preserve our people. For us this is the most important task. We protect our people, our warriors – because this is protection. Weapons from our partners It helps to restore peace in our territory, but first of all the military protects people. Therefore, in order not to get into the environment, it was decided to move to other borders, ”Zelensky said.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine still does not have weapons superior to the Russian one, but at the same time promised to surprise the Russian Federation with new UAVs and REB systems

“We will surprise them with our systems of drones, electronic warfare. But this is a parallel path that we lay in anticipation of the help of our partners,” he said.

In addition, the Ukrainian leader called for an increase in the supply of air defense systems.

As soon as “Ukraine unlocks the sky, it will not only throw Russia back, but also allow you to return to the country to“ millions of Ukrainians, ”Zelensky says.

The President of Ukraine also commented on the issue of mobilization.

“The issue of fair mobilization is a question of rotation. You are tired, you must recover. You go out to recover, and instead comes another person, professional, who has passed the appropriate training. And mobilization depends on it,” Zelensky noted

According to him, a certain number of people are needed to protect and defense of the country, but for counterattacks – the number is already different.

“Therefore, the issue of mobilization is a difficult matter,” the Ukrainian leader summed up.

Speaking of US President Donald Trump, Zelensky said that he had repeatedly invited him to Ukraine so that he would see his eyes what the war actually looks like.

“If Trump arrives, I am ready to go to the front with him. If we have a conversation on how to end the war, we must demonstrate to those who decide what a real war looks. Not a war on Instagram, but a real war “,” he emphasized.

Zelensky also commented on the situation with Ukraine’s entry into NATO. He said that “it would be fair,” expressing hope that a number of bilaterals about security guarantees with such countries as Great Britain, Germany and France will help in this matter. At the same time, Zelensky noted that this issue should be addressed to the Alliance Secretary General Jensu Stoltenberg.
