President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a working trip to the Dnipropetrovsk region, held a meeting on the implementation of projects of main water supply systems to replace those that were powered from the Kakhovsky reservoir to provide water to residents of the region.
According to the press service of the president’s office, the head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Sergey Lysak reported that the demolition of the dam at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station led to problems with the provision of drinking water by residents of cities Krivoy Rog, Marganese, Pokrov and Nikopol.
In particular, the work of water utilities in Pokrov and Manganese was stopped. Now in these cities there is a supply of water using railway and road transport.
Vice Prime Minister for the restoration of Ukraine -Development of the Gromad, territories and infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov informed about the construction projects of water pipelines of the Karachunovsky reservoir – Kryvoy Rog – Southern Reservoir, Marganets – Nikopol and Khortitsa – Tomakovka.
According to him, the implementation of these projects will provide high -quality drinking water of people in the affected areas.
In addition, it is planned to expand the wells of wells in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the reconstruction of existing water pipelines.
