The negotiation process with Russia to stop the war is now unprofitable for both Ukraine and Europe, since any temporary truce will mean continuing aggression from the Russian Federation in the future. This was the adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak in an interview with the German publication Bild.
“The negotiation process today will record a temporary truce in a war that will not be completed. Accordingly, the Russian Federation will consider it a victory and will continue to apply for the promotion of its expansionist policy. Therefore, the truce will mean only the next stage of the war after a certain time,” – believes Podolyak.
Mikhail Podolyak also noted that in the event of such an incomplete end of the war, many of its citizens will not dare to return to Ukraine, investments will not come. “This will be a growing” gray zone “, which will constantly exert pressure on Europe. Europe will be forced to constantly invest here in a viable state. It is unprofitable to Europe in the medium -term and long -term perspective,” says Podolyak.
Podoloyak is convinced that Germany and other EU countries are unprofitable today, as this will provoke Russia to more daring behavior in an economic, political, diplomatic plan.
Mikhail Podolyak noted that in Ukraine, due to the war, the quality of life is significantly reduced, a certain deterioration will also be observed in Europe. “But this is a fee for such an intensive war that has not been since the Second World War. And this war needs to be done correctly if you do not want to pay all the time,” he emphasized.
