Russia’s blockade of Ukrainian ports can lead to destabilization and mass protests in Africa and Europe. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a speech at the Security Forum in Bratislava.
“It is impossible to circumvent the question of the blockade of Russia of our ports. Because of this act of aggression, the world on the verge of a food crisis. These are not just food problems. This is a deficit in the market, it is a catastrophic increase in prices for basic products, this is a threat of hunger for tens of millions people.
If this is not prevented, we get the problem of political chaos in some countries of Africa, Asia – and therefore the migration crisis in Europe, when people from countries suffering from hunger will look for salvation, ”the leader of Ukraine said.
.
According to Zelensky, the crisis in Africa will inevitably transfer throughout Europe: “The food crisis will inevitably lead to large -scale protests and in European countries. Many governments will have to explain to the protesters why our continent was hostage by one state Russia and one person in Moscow who gave an order for the sea blockade of Ukraine. “
