President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Vladimir Putin wants to continue the war, and said: “Putin could not get out of this war, because then he will have nothing left.”
In a written statement posted on a social network, Zelensky appreciated the US offer of a 30-day ceasefire for the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
reminding that Ukraine adopted the “30-day Extreme Cross”, proposed by the United States at a meeting in Jidd (Saudi Arabia), Zelensky emphasized that this could become an important stage for the end of the war.
Referring to Putin’s yesterday’s statements about this proposal, Zelensky said that Putin put forward a number of conditions.
“He does not want a ceasefire. He needed a war. It was always clear, and it is clear now,” he wrote.
In his opinion, the United States should put pressure on Russia: “Putin himself will not stop the war, but America’s strength is enough to make him do it.”
Zelensky claimed that the Russian leader Putin is trying to do everything possible to “fail” diplomacy to end the war: “Putin cannot get out of this war, because then he will have nothing left.”

The president said that Putin had previously tried to deliberately tighten the negotiation process in the Minsk negotiations: “Each condition put forward by Putin is an attempt to interfere with all types of diplomacy. This is how Russia works.”
