The issue of potential abandonment of Ukrainian territories in exchange for security guarantees cannot be solved without the will of the Ukrainian people, since this contradicts the Ukrainian constitution.

“The authorities do not have official right to abandon their territories. For this to happen, the Ukrainian people must want this,” the head of state said.

According to Zelensky, statements about whether it is possible to give in some of its territories in exchange for security guarantees by the EU or NATO, but there are no official such proposals for the Ukrainian authorities.

“It must be understood that no one has officially offered Ukraine. And Ukraine will never give its territory. Any issue related to the territorial integrity of Ukraine cannot be resolved by one president, one person or all the presidents of the world without the Ukrainian people. This It is impossible.
