President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky repeated his proposal to conduct direct negotiations with Vladimir Putin.
In an interview with the Italian television channel RAI1, the Ukrainian president said that the reference point for any discussions of the two leaders should be a complete withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.
“As a president, I am ready to talk with Putin. But only with him. Without his intermediaries, and on the terms of dialogue, and not on the terms of ultimatums,” Zelensky said.

Official direct negotiations between Russian and Ukrainian delegations were not conducted since March 29. According to the head of the Russian delegation at the negotiations of Vladimir Medinsky, the consultations continued in remote mode.
