President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking at an expanded meeting of the presidium of the congress of local and regional authorities, emphasized the importance of the unity of the Ukrainian people to win the war. The head of state presented the audience with the detailed “Plan of Victory”.
Zelensky noted that Ukrainians are doing everything possible to protect their country, but for a complete victory, the support of international partners is needed. He called on local authorities to actively participate in the implementation of the “Victory Plan” and to establish contacts with the regions of other countries.
According to the head of state, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Verkhovna Rada and the president’s office are already working at the level of teams with key countries with potential for the implementation of plan points
“We always work with our partners at all levels – at the highest level and at the level of each heart, which with Ukraine and sincerely wants peace and justice for us. We are working with leaders. Governments and parliaments are already connected,” Zelensky emphasized .
The head of the president’s office Andrei Ermak noted that the “Victory Plan” may become the basis for the consolidation of not only Ukrainian society, but also the allies of Ukraine. He urged to actively promote this plan at the local level and establish cooperation with the regions of other countries.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said that the “Victory Plan” was already presented at the third parliamentary summit of the Crimean platform and received wide support.
“We met wide support and willingness to participate in its implementation. These positions were reflected in the statement adopted by the participants of this summit,” he added.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal assured that the government fully supports Ukraine’s path to victory and is ready to provide comprehensive support to local authorities in the implementation of the Victory Plan.
“Everything that is necessary for NATO membership, the government implements all the reforms, all the steps. We are also ready to help you at all levels in terms of contacts, communication and implementation. The key question today is our unity,” he said .
About 400 representatives of local and regional authorities, ambassadors of the G7 and EU countries in Ukraine took part in the meeting.
