The losses of Ukraine during the full -scale war unleashed by Russia are up to 13 thousand dead defenders. This was stated by adviser to the head of the presidential office Mikhail Podolyak by the Ukrainian media.
“… We have official grades of the General Staff, which are voiced by the Supreme Commander -in -Chief. They make up from 10 to 12.5–13 thousand dead … Yes, we have more losses due to injuries,” he said.
Podolyak also emphasized that the number of dead civilian Ukrainians is “definitely not 20 thousand”, and this figure can be significant. He recalled that in the Ukrainian territories temporarily captured by Russians there are many mass burials and torture.
On November 30, the European Commission President Ursula von der Lyain said that the losses of Ukraine during a full -scale war amounted to 100 thousand military and 20 thousand civilians. At the same time, it was not specified where these figures were taken from. The press service of the European Commission subsequently clarified that the figure voiced by Ursula von der Lyaine was an “external assessment” and edited its speech.
