President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will offer the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine to equate corruption with state treason for wartime.
The head of state reported this during the interview, which was broadcast during the national telemarahron, the Ukrainian media reports.
“I set the task to the legislation, and the lawmakers of Ukraine will be offered my proposals for equating corruption with state treason for wartime,” Zelensky’s words are given.
The politician noted that he understands that such a decision cannot act constantly in society, but for wartime it should help.
The corresponding bill will be sent to the parliament in the coming week.
