Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that Tbilisi is counting on great political support from the United States against the backdrop of events in Ukraine, reports The Hill.
According to her, Georgia does not raise the question of expanding military assistance from Washington. The president made it clear that she did not see the grounds for falling out of military operations from Russia, but did not rule out the possibilities of “playing on the nerves.”
In addition, Zurabishvili urged Western countries not to forget about Georgia. She emphasized that she would like to see more mentions of the country in the statements of the American authorities, which could become “important signal of Moscow.”
