“Georgia does not try and will not try to return the lost territory to war.” This was stated by the President of the country Salome Zurabishvili
According to her, it is a unhappy decision of the Georgian authorities.
“After all, we all see that the territory gained is not given anything – neither development, neither self-determination or identity protection,” said Zurabishvili.
She also noted the importance of unity, the “integral parts” of which are “diversity, pluralism, multinationality and multiparty.”
According to Zurabishvili, to achieve unity it is necessary to “try to make concessions, to reckon with the opinion of others and put the interests of the country above their personal, party or other interests.”
Georgian President stressed that society, cohesive in one fist, will not collapse.
“This also applies to our population, citizens living in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region, with whom we must finally find a common language,” she stressed.
